Exhaust gasket difficulties

Hi everybody,

I need to exchange my Exhaust Pipe Flange Gaskets.
Every shop and online catalogue offers one size, the 2 1/8" version.
But my car (1966 Delta 88, 425cui) has two sizes.
the crossover pipe gaskets are smaller than the one that connects the muffler pipe. I think 2 1/8" only fits the larger one.

Can someone tell me what size I need for the two connections of the crossover pipe?

Thanks

I am not specifically familar with the '66, but are you sure that it has flange gaskets?

All of the later ones have gasketless flanges.

If memory serves me right, on a stock single exhaust car the crossover pipe does not use gaskets. The pipe ends are flared and the manifold beveled and no gasket is used. There is a gasket on the exit pipe at rear of rt side manifold.

Correct. There are no factory gaskets between the heads and the manifolds nor between the manifolds and the pipes. The manifolds have a male tapered flange and the pipes have a matching female taper. There is no provision for installing a gasket. If there is a leak, either the metal is damaged (usually rust pitting) or there is debris preventing a good metal-to-metal seal.
