Evans Waterless Coolant

Hi! Has anybody tried Evans Waterless Coolant? Jay Lenons uses it in his cars and recommend it for classic cars. It will not correct cooling problems but I feel that for slight idling overheating it would be an option.

Although it has a higher boiling point is higher, the temp is still going to effect your engine and trans. It looks to be a good product but it will not solve an over temp problem.

Yeah. It seems that any overheating problem should be resolved before using this product.

If you fix your idling overheating problem properly regular 50% antifreeze mix should be all you need.
Otherwise any cooling fixes will be band aid solutions, give us more information about your car and we can help resolve any issues you have.

Roger sorry for the delay in responding. I fixed the overheating issue. I had a bad fan clutch. But the Evans also prevent the constant change of antifreeze and since it does not have water, it also prevents engine corrosion. I don't know, I might like to try it at some point. I just added new antifreeze and planning to change it next year. I'll consider it then.
