Thanks Guys The guy moved it two 9& I still get a lot of popping in the pipes no pinning so I got a learn or have my guy total time it It has the msd box 6a and atomic fuel, injection. I don't want to sound stupid but I not up to much of the new stuff, The vacuum advance is block off its mechanical
any help appreciated

what do you mean? What would you guys use for oil I'm told it has to be at least 14% DHHP real oil I use to put Valvoline VR1, but the builder said it doesn't have enough DHHP

Post some pictures of your engine and the EFI unit. Is your builder suggesting herbal health products for your engine or is he trying to say that VR1 doesn't have enough ZDDP? VR1 is a top rated oil for flat tappet engines and has an excellent friction package.

Yes Eric some times when I back off the gas it make a popping noise like backfire through exhaust , I'm going to change some of the setting on the atomic Efi ,I doesn't ping so that's good

Nice! Ive been thinking TBI for a while on a 455. Popping on decel is rich fuel, or oxygen getting into the exhaust via a leak or both. Is this EFI-TBI a closed or open loop system? Popping at idle is too much timing or a vac leak or both. Is that HEI a new unit or was it pulled from a smog era engine?
