edelbrock head springs

Looking for a part number to purchase a set of new valve springs for edelbrock 60519 heads. I not a big fan of the single spring that comes with the stock heads. When installing better valve springs do I have to replace locks and retainers. If so I need those part numbers also.
461 olds
cam 231-239 558 581 lift with 1.7 rocker
thx

Still a flat tappet cam?
The springs aren't that bad. You can't go too much stiffer unless you really know what you're doing. If you're staying under 6k rpm I'd just run the ones on there.
You don't have to replace the locks or retainers, assuming the new spring OD works with the retainers. Those lift numbers with 1.7's are pretty solid so might want to double check coil bind on the 581 lift.
Regardless, you probably won't get part number recommendations. Figure out the installed height, the full lift height, OD, how much pressure you want on the seat and open, and start flipping through catalogs.

I’m guessing that’s a flat tappet cam?
If so just leave those springs on there and change the locks to better ones. As mentioned the original springs aren’t really that bad.
