EASY QUESTION - A LITTLE HELP
Hi All,
I'm not an Olds person, and just picked up my first Olds, so can someone give me a little help:
Just picked up a 1970 Olds 442 which we know is an authentic 442, has correct exhaust manifolds with correct #s, original ram air hood. We ID the block as a 70 455.
I was told in order to verify the vin number as a matching numbers block, the power steering pump must be removed in order to access the #.
Is there any other way to verify this is a matching #s car and should a portion of that # match a portion of the VIN?
Thanks!
