Cost to Rebuild a 455

Hey guys I know this is a loaded questions with a million and one answers.
What I have is a 1970 88/455. It runs good. But it is ugly and needs to be cleaned and painted up. There is no sense to pull a motor to clean up and paint everything may as well rebuild at the same time.I am wondering what I should expect to have it freshened up, pistons, rings, bored. Hopefully being able to reuse crank and connecting rods.
Ideas and suggestions appreciated.

Check shops in your area.
Complete rebuild would probably start around $2000, that varies depending on where you live, and depending on wear and tear. The valve job alone, could be from $200-$600 depending on what parts need replaced, and where you live.
Try to find some one local with Oldsmobile experience.

More will chime in with recommendations.
Where you live would help with that.
Put that in your edit sheet.

Excellent thanks much. I live in Southern Ontario. If anyone wants to chime in with someone in the area they worked with :-)

Canada is gonna cost you a lot more...for a good job with top line parts and balancing...done properly.. Im gonna say 3000-3500 with the shop doing the assembly
