Correct water pump for my 70 W30

Today I replaced the radiator hoses and also one of the heater hoses on my 70 auto air W30. While replacing the lower radiator hose, I noticed how much larger the new hose diameter was as compared to the water pump outlet. I went ahead with the job and got all the factory clamps on with the new hoses. I later noticed a leak at the lower radiator hose at the water pump. I looked at the casting number of the water pump, suspect that the water pump had been replaced with the wrong part. The casting number is 408329, and it appears to be correct for my car but without AC? My car has 35K documented original miles and has most original parts. Should my car have water pump 404847?

Thanks for the help

I found this on another site.

404847 is correct for your 70 W-30. The 408329 is for 71/72. They changed the pump outlet size in 71, that is the reason the lower hose is loose and you have a leak.
I have a 71 and would be interested in your 408329 pump if you want to sell. I also have some 404847 pumps to trade if you would rather do that. My pumps would have to be rebuilt. If you are not that concerned about being numbers matching your local parts store should have the pump you need. Just be sure to get the correct height (5.5") and correct outlet size. I would advise against turning in the 408329 as a core if you decide to go with a new one. Please PM me if you want to sell or trade.
