Composite dist.gear

Anyone who have heard of those? interested to see who makes them for olds motors (roller cam) that would be a nice alternative to bronze ones that need to be changed often,Looked at comp cams site but they only show for chebbys ford and pontiac,anyone who can help with some info?

I've never heard of a composite distributor gear. I didn't know Olds distributors wore out often...

Stock ones don't. He's talking about aftermarket bronze ones for use with a billet camshaft.

Sorry i didnt make myself clear but Joe explained it already,i have a billet roller in my 455 and the only alternative is bronze gear for those cams,i just read some horror stories about those gears worn out after a few hundred miles living particles all over the motor oil and was serching for something better
