Carb on 68 Turnpike cruiser
Trying to find out which carb is supposed to be on this engine.
The original is gone, and replaced with a 7029156.
This is a tiny one,venturi is 1 3/16 In.
Spec says 290hp @4600 rpm
4600 rpm will require 400*2300/1728=532 CFM (teoretical)
Please correct me if this is wrong.
Can't find any 2-Jet with this much flow.Need help

I think you will find that any similar 2-bbl of the era will do just fine. You could make sure the jets are the same size as specified for your exact carb if you want to get it nearly exact. I'll bet one of us here has the exact right carb for you.
I just bought some Hot Air pcs for a '68 TC from an epay seller
http://www.ebay.com/itm/131100188572...84.m1497.l2649
get ahold of him and see if he has your carb maybe.
Anyone need '68 Hot Air long 90 degree adapter? I didn't expect to win that auction.

Here's one I removed from a '68 Vista Cruiser 400-2 bbl w/a/c. It's missing the tag though, so can't say for sure if it's ever been changed or messed with. Mixture screws look like they are from a later year with the smaller tapered ends by the screw slots. Throttle bores 1 11/16".

The bores in my manifold and even the trottle bores in the carb I got is 1 11/16".
Think you have to measure the venturies to tell a difference.
My car is non AC,will a carb made for a AC car work ok.
Found out that if the last digit in the number is even it is for AT,uneven for manual.
