Carb for 67 Toronado

Carb for 67 Toronado

I just bought a nice rebuilt carb for my 67 Toronado. However the carb is for a mid 70’s 455 Toronado. $80 for a NOS rebuilt carb is a decent price, so emotion got the better of me and I bought it.

Would there be any issues running it? Are there any adjustments except maybe the idle screws I might have to look at? Will have to put in fused wire for the electric choke, which I prefer to the old vacuum one.

Number is 7045183, which seems to be an Olds carb for 75-76 Olds

i'm sure it'll be terribly lean. it will probably run, but not that well. might run hot, and very likely will ping or knock when you set the timing to where it should be for a '67 425.

And lean condition is because of the different metering rods and float level?
