Which carb?

getting ready to put our mildly built 455 in place of the 350 in our 71 cutlass. Had an edelbrock 650 cfm carb on the 350 , and the 455 came with a torker intake, I know not ideal, and a holley 750 DP. Do you think I should try the edelbrock on the torker and see how it runs or should I go with the holley?

I'm sorry, it's an 850 holley.

I'd try the Holley you have, but a 750cfm vac secondary would be a better choice.

Agree with oldscultass. A vacuum secondary Holley is the perfect choice. Very simple and very reliable. I'm running a square bore 780 Double Pumper because I have a clutch. Otherwise I'd have what's recommended. You can get away with a lot when you have a third pedal.
