Cam advice

In the process of doing a basically stock rebuild on a 67 400 engine (E) and would appreciate some recommendations on a good street use cam, good mid range torque. Engine has stock C heads, stock cast quadrajet intake. Hooking up to 2.54 first gear Muncie and 3.23 rear. Thanks.

Hi Flow AH (220/220@.050) on a real stock type rebuild. If you want something a little hotter then I'd do a Hi Flow 1(228/228@.050).

Your engine takes 0.921" lifters. Some have had a problem getting the ones that are correct. You probably should buy the cam and correct lifters and timing set from Mark instead of making a mistake. I know someone who put the incorrect 0.921" lifters from a olds vendor from California and had a major lack of oil pressure. It was a 1966 Toronado 425 engine.
