Are aluminum roller rockers noisy??

I have a set of full roller aluminum rocker arms and I have a slight sewing machine noise and wondered if they would make noise even if properly adjusted?

Unless they're hitting the valve covers, and you've hydraulic lifters, no.
Put your hand on each cover while running, you'll feel it.
Dual VCG's will solve it!

You need to go to the rocker arm manufacturers specs and see what the setting needs to be. IF you have a really agressive cam, yes they will make noise! I have Harland Sharpes on mine and they make a little noise.

On a hyd. set up they shouldn't make noise, right? Don't you pre-load the lifter? Idk, I've got a mech. flat tappet cam...don't get me lying.

A mechanical flat tappet cam is considered a 'solid' cam, which needs .015 - .030 clearance between valve and rocker arm, and will sound like a sewing machine!
Hope you've the cam card which gives you that setting for that cam, as they should be checked about every 5000 miles.

Are you talking to me? Of course I have the cam card, and yes I adjust the valves. I was saying that I thought a hyd. cam w/ roller rockers should be quiet, but since I don't have one I don't know first hand. I know what a solid cam sounds like...tick tock lol!

The rolller rockers will sound like a singer sewing machine. And, you have more valve noise if it is a solid lifter camshaft.

Your rockers should be pretty quiet. Are they a cast aluminum rocker or billet? If they're billet then you have other issues as mentioned, fast ramp cam etc.
