Acceleration and Start Problem Rochester 4gc

Hi, my 64 olds 98 with the 4gc have 2 problems. First, when the Engine is in Idle and i press the accelerator, the Engine swallow for a Moment and accelerate. Second, when the car stay some hours in the sun, i must push the accelerator a few times while starting to start. I clean the carburettor with ultrasound and rebuild it with a new rebuilding kit. Coldstarting and driving is perfekt.

Thanks for helping.

Possibly the accelerator pump is bad or not adjusted correctly. Dwell/ timing is not set correct...

X2 on the accelerator pump, did your kit include a new plunger with seal? Also, when rebuilding did you carefully match the new gaskets with the old to be sure all the openings were the same? Most rebuild kits have multiple choice gaskets and sometimes they are very close but not an exact match.

I believe he is saying that the problem was solved after the ultrasound and carb rebuild. More as a aid to others that may be having the same problem.... Just saying...Tedd
