"This is a N.O.S. (new old stock) Offenhauser tunnel ram base with a kuctom cast / fabricated 8 deuce top. It will need a good cleaning before you use it. The top is cast in 2 pieces & welded together with the outside weld ground down & blended in & the inside seam epoxied sealed. The casting is a little on the crude side giving it a older look. It uses 3 bolt 2 bbl. Stromberg 97 or Ford 94 carbs."
Quite a sight

X2.
The first problem I see with it is way too much plenum for a street application. Between the top piece and the existing top of the tunnel ram that's a lot of area. It'll be that much easier for the fuel to drop out of suspension.

I think this item is for when appearance and needless complication are more important than drivability and performance.
Maybe it can be used as an air inlet, with injectors hidden down in there for an FI system. There's room enough in there for quite a bit of voodoo.

Linkage fab really isn't that difficult. If you want all the carbs to open at the same time, it's pretty easy, actually. Progressive linkage is only slightly more difficult. If you can understand lever arms and simple geometry, you can build the linkage. Syncing the carbs is a different problem. You can buy TBI systems that look like Stromberg carbs with the injectors hidden in the fuel bowls. It wouldn't be cheap, but that's probably the only way to get this manifold to run decently.
