I have a 1970 SX with the L33 455 in it currently. I will eventually get the engine rebuilt and am questioning if I can use an engine I have found for sale for parts. I also will take the 4 barrel carb off the for sale engine and put in the SX if it will work to replace my current 2 barrel which would require to replace the intake manifolds also. So I am thinking if compatible I would be money ahead on parts.

So that is my question I suppose as I do not understand all the ins and outs of how many of the parts are interchangeable with compression ratios etc. The engine for sale is for $1,000 and he claims it was running good prior to taking out. Has 4 barrel carb and distributor with
