Okay I have 2 questions first:

1. How much HP are these motors rated at?

2. How easy is it to replace a freeze plug in these motors!

I assume you mean with the motor in the car, in which case, it depends on which one.

About horsepower ratings I can only say it depends upon what the engine originated out of and it's vintage. If it is the original 455 in the Delta88 in '73 it was a 2bbl engine rated at 180 hp. If it was out of a different car or different year it may be a 4bbl 250 hp engine or a 4bbl 275 hp engine or a 2bbl 310 hp engine or a 4bbl 365 hp engine, lots of variables.

Ok thanks it looks as though this is the 4bbl Q-jet carb motor and I will assume it is original, is that possible?

Regarding the freeze plug it is accessible if I were to raise the car it is on the passenger side in the rear. I personally have never changed one of these plugs so I was looking for a little guidance or a step by step process?

Thanks in advance

Hey; I believe in '71 they changed the way they rated engines. Prior to '71 it was at the flywheel, after that it was at the rear wheels.
As far as the freeze plug, you need as straight shot as possible, assuming your replacing it with a metal cup type. They make cheater type but they are considered temporary. If you use the metal cup type, start it staight and keep it straight. Use some type of sealer on the bore and the plug, I use Permatex Aviation sealer. Good luck
