67 cutlass 455 swap

67 cutlass 455 swap

I have 455 30 over olds.later model with rebuild j heads engine fully rebuilt also running dynomax headers with pipes 3 exhuast x pipe with electric cutout and race pro mufflers. I want to upgrade the cam thinking voodoo 60802

Hydraulic. Torque Monster for 400-455 c.i. daily driven street performance vehicle. Excellent torque and horsepower production with heavier emphasis on the low to mid range. Will work in ski boat applications with larger 455 c.i. engines. Choppy idle!

Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 262/268
Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 219/227
Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .499/.510
LSA/ICL: 112/108
Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd

I just looking for torque and nice sounding and thoughs would be great thanks

What pistons are in it? That will be a determining factor.
Also I would change the stock rockers (if you are still running them) with that cam. they are only good to right about .500 lift. I ran a cam with .504 lift and had no issues, but I think I was at the outter limits and probably pushing my luck.

That's I'm that sure but I'm guessing a lower compression type.but I know they are new or near perfect shape. I know I'm not going to be pushing the motor past 5000. just want a mild cam with great torque for the street.

Then I'd do a single pattern cam, i.e. 215/215@.050 or similar.
