455 Stock Valve covers and Roller rockers

The #6 and #8 roller rockers are hitting the stock valve cover baffle on the driver's side. What function does the baffle serve? Can I take it out? What are the repercussions? I already have 1/4" gaskets.

TIA

If you cut out the baffles, the pcv will suck oil into the intake runners. I'd just run a spacer plate, or some taller covers.

Rockers are hitting. Was able to move the baffles. No more noise.
