455 rocker box noise . Please help!

I’m getting a very slight ticking noise from what sounds like the drivers side rocker box but only when the car gets hot . It’s so slight you have to have the hood open to even hear it. I just recently did head gaskets and have had the car back together for some time now and it hasn’t made this noise. I have cheap stp 10w30 conventional oil In it right now .Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do ? I really do not want to tear this thing down again. I’ve heard of guys running rotella 15w40.

Take the valve cover off. Start car, take a small feeler gauge, and try to slip it between the rocker, and valve, if sound goes away, than you know which valve it is, and probably need to change that rocker.
