455 crank question

Crankshaft question, since Olds made a forged crank in 1968, along with the nodular iron crank, and the forged crank weighs like 6 lbs more why would anyone want to use the forged crank to ad more rotating mass? Especially to an engine built to roughly 450-500 horsepower? I see talk of how rare these forged are but are they desirable? If your building a 800 hp engine yes I could see it but most would go to an aftermarket crank at that point. So it seems to me forged 455 cranks may be rare but not that usable or desirable for the extra money everyone asks for them. Can anyone enlighten me?

as you noted, the cast nodular crank is very good, almost as good as the quality of forging used by Olds in late 67. For normally aspirated, non nitrous applications, the N crank is fine,
