400 timing spec?

Can anyone tell me the timing spec for a 68 olds 400 engine? Basicly stock except headers and edelbrock 600 carb and performer intake.

See page 6C-6 of the '68 Chassis Service Manual. The book calls for 7.5 degrees BTC at 850rpm with auto trans (with or without A/C), 2.5 degrees BTC with manual trans, or 5 degrees BTC for the turnpike cruiser. The W30 calls for 12.5 degrees BTC (manual or auto trans). I'd use what you have for a starting point and work from there. With the fuel we have today, you will probably have to retard your timing from the starting point to get your most optimum timing.
