394 automatic flywheeel
I pulled engine and transmission. I split automatic and found a clutch disc between flywheel & transmission. Springs are really loose. Can disc be rebuilt or can new one be purchased?

It looks like a '61-'64 that had these springs and from what I gather, they act as some type of vibration damper. I've seen some NOS springs, but they are such an odd item. Try Fatsco Transmission. They did have a lot of oddball parts. I never did see a NOS disc with the springs attached though

Contact www.fatsco.com as they have those Dampers as they are called and they build them "New" for the U.S. Military and they're in stock and they work as I've used them myself.

Surely military vehicles aren't using Slim Jims!
Long as someone makes these things... I have paid too much for a couple of NOS ones, back before Fatsco started making them. Probably paid too much for a couple of used ones too. With a SJ, one can never have too many spare parts.
