1970 engine hook

I have two engine hooks, one is a repo and one is original. The original has a small hole (3/16) in the top of the loop the repo is solid all the way around except for the bolt holes. Anyone know which is correct, Id like to use the original but maybe the hole is from a car of a different year?

Is for my car 1970 455

The one with the hole is correct. It is used for the wiring harness clip.
