1968 H/O Temperature Sending Unit Location

I am working on a 1968 H/O with air conditioning. Can someone confirm the correct location for the temperature sending unit and the thermal vacuum switch on the intake manifold?. I tried looking at all of the cars with the hood open at MCACN last weekend and to my dismay, there was a mix of both ways. Having the sender on the driver side makes the harness for the sender less of a stretch and seems more correct. I have a '69 service manual and assembly manual and in both, the temperature sending unit is in the driver side and the TVS is on the passenge side. They are currently the opposite in the '68 and I have no service or assembly information to confirm if it was indeed different in '68.

Geardoc66,
Per the 1968 P.I.M. (assembly manual) all V8 engines including 442's and H/O's had the temperature sending unit on the
passenger side of the intake. The thermostatic vacuum switch, if used, would be on the drivers side. This changed in 1969.
Yes the wiring harness is a bit stretched to reach it.

Passenger side is correct for all '68s, as Brian noted above.
