I have a 1966 olds 442, can some one tell me if the connection for the fuel pump should be on top or bottom?
A 66 442 uses a return line and I do not see one on the pump in the picture. I use a Carter M4516 that's ethanol compatible and has the right connections.

The blue 455 in the photo was not described as nor intended to represent a 1966 442 motor, it was simply to illustrate that ALL 1964-1990 Olds fuel pumps mount with the fittings on top, which was his question. I'm guessing the OP is confused because he has previously looked at Chevy pumps.

My bad, should have paid closer attention. I promise I will try to do better in the future.
