Smile Need your experience

hey all,
here is the dilemma.
2 potential cars to choose from.

Car #1 - very low confirmed miles, mint condition, original 87 442. NON T-TOP --- very nice

Car #2 --- has 20k more miles, (still low), in great shape as well. new rotors and brakes, new air conditioner changeover, new tires, HAS -TOPS that he says leak- but he has the new T-TOP weatherstripping kit that will come with the car, everything is mint- but needs the power antenna as well.

The difference in cost is 500 bucks.

I really do love t-tops but I just dont know what to do. Help!

If the car will be garaged you can consider the T top one providing the interior has not been wet excessively already causing floor rot and moldy interior. The weatherstrip for the T tops is not that easy to install if I remember right. The non T top will be drier and less hassles when it comes to weather.

I like the hard top. T top cars rot away quicker because there's less car and more seams.

The real question here is:
How handsome are you?

I drove an '86 Cutlass with T-tops for several years. It was driven year-round in rain and snow and parked outside 24 hours a day. Never had any troubles with leaks. I'm just saying that, once you find what's leaking, you should be able to fix it.

If you love T-tops, you won't regret spending the extra money. There's nothing like it (except a convertible, of course).
