I have decided to go with rotella t 10 30 and a quart of Lucas with a Napa gold for my first time changing since I bought my car before I take it out to drive.

Valvoline racing oil, available from Napa as well. Has plenty of zinc.

If Rotella T unless they have changed it in the last 6 months is around 1080 parts of Zinc which should be plenty without the additive.Works fine in my ride but everyone has a favorite. Wix or Napa gold (same filter) are my choices..Tedd

Whatever 10W30 or 10W40 is on sale at Autozone plus a container of STP oil treatment, which has the needed ZDDP.

Been using Accel 10w-40. Has 1100 ppm zinc. Cheap and was available at Walmart. getting harder to find now though.

But mines only a wimpy stock '72 350. Any oil is okay for it.

Brad penn green with zinc , I talked to an engine builder who recommended it. He does not sell it but he said that adding a zinc additive to modern oils that was not blended for it was playing at chemistry. He had attended a seminar that convinced him it was better to buy an oil that was blended with zinc. I can't say if it's true or not but he convinced me.
