Tic-Toc Tach **** Removal

Anyone know how to remove the adjustment **** on a tic-toc tach? There is no set screw on the **** itself.

Thanks, Mike

On my 1969 version the **** unscrewed from the post. You have to hold the base with some needle nose pliers to keep it from spinning . Wrap the plier jaws with tape to prevent scratching .

I would think 1968 is the same. 1970-72 no idea .

A drop of PB Blaster on the threads will help a lot.

Let it sit for a day before removal.
