Thermactor hose connection

My '71 442 has the original non-OAI dual snorkel air cleaner (long and short horns). Both horns have vacuum operated Thermactor doors. I have vacuum hoses from both that 'T' together underneath into one hose. Where/what vacuum source does this connect? My asembly manual has info on ALL the other air cleaner types but this one. TIA.

I would guess that hose would connect to a temperature sensor int the air cleaner, then to a manifold vacuum source... However I have not seen that setup myself.

Thanks Rob. Yeah, the two go into one into the 'sensor' and from there it should be manifold vacuum but all my vacuum ports are utilized. Just wondering where it went originally.

Perhaps to a "T" that may have been removed during a hose replacement?
Many people automatically ditched the emission stuff in the quest of vast HP gains...

I'll figure it out. I'm going to search TCS and make sure that is all right. It appears so with carb and manifold vacuum plugged in and vacuum advance coming out to distributor. There is a small square plug on the back of the manifold adjacent to the vacuum elbow for the booster. I wonder if that should have been a small port instead of a plug?
