Tach not Working
Joe, thank you for supplying the illustrations. This isn't something your average hobbyist can handle as far as I can tell. The instructions say that the tach and its circuit board need to be replaced or repaired as a unit.
Does anyone know an Oldsmobile restoration shop they can recommend? :--)

I agree with Koda, great info Joe! On another note, my tach was working when I got it and suddenly stopped. This happened a couple times before it stopped moving at all. Note the oil pressure gauge was still working as it should, the others are not being used and the clock never worked. Before I got into diagnostic mode I simply, carefully fed a small flexible wire in the gap where the clock is set and gently nudged the tach needle until it moved in the correct direction. It started working again. I had to do that twice before it took and stopped sticking. Has been working for a year or so now. Worth a try if it suddenly stopped working before digging in too far.
Can’t believe snap on hasn’t contacted me to buy the rights to this tool, lol.
