Foose on Overhaulin did one close to yours with the 2 tone. Separated the 2 with a stripe. It looked nice. Not original, but it did look good.

i like the 442 stripes on the fender but you have the 442 emblem located where it belongs without the stripes if you add the stripes they will not be centered between the wheel well opening and the door edge - will look "off"

I do like the look of the white top and hood, I'd do a pin strip or something along the length of the car.

Not a word....

However, you may want to read these threads. The first thread has dimensions of the stripe location, though the photos are at Post #81 of the thread.

......and here's a couple of pictures that shows how the location of the numbers differs on a car with the W36 stripes, versus a car without the stripes.

I always thought a stripe that followed the door/fender gap would look better than a straight stripe on these cars.......but apparently Olds never felt that way.

later,
bob

If you're asking about the vertical stripe , I say no. Well.....maybe in white to match the top half.
With the 2 tone paint job, I just don't like it on the Overhaulin Foose 442.

I do think a stripe following the fender from front bumper up to roofline is cool though.
Like this one has.

No, I wouldn't do a thing.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. What a beautiful car! I would leave it the way it is, very clean. Nice Resto/Custom.
