Springs once again 66 442 conv
Getting ready to start a complete redo of my front end on my 66 442 conv. What are the proper Moog # for a set of front & rear for the car. Looking for a reasonable stock height with a 15 " wheel upgrade for disc conversion. Should also say that the car is strickly for cruising. It seems that every one has a different set of spring numbers. Any suggestions guys.
Call fusicks.
They don't give you the PN... but they have selected HD springs front and rear that match the factory specs. We used them in a friends 66 after having used lowering springs that dropped it too much. He was very pleased with the final height, and stiffness of their springs.

If its a clone with a 455 the weight diff of the 455 vs 400 E may make a difference. if its a non air car with a 455 just get the a/c 442 big block car springs should be just about right is my guess. if its a 330 with air i would go big block without air.

Yes by clone I did mean that it is a 442 W/ the right cowl tag & 442 stuff not a 330 Cutlass. Sometime in it's life somebody put a 455 no ac , who knows why. I have not tried to trace much of the ownnership on it , except that it came from the east coast. Except for the 455 it's a match to our 1st new car. It's now the wifes car as it was claimed by her when it came off the delivery truck . Now I guess I get the Galaxie. I do need to thank all of you for your help & suggestions.

Got a sag in the corner and because of the milage Im going to rip the front end apart bushings , bj and disc conversion. with that it's a great time to slap springs and shocks in it.

Beleive it or not I still own the manual that I bought when I owned my original Olds. And the car "IS" out of specs. Not by much but it is out. As a retied auto tech I always owned shop manual for any car I bought. Cleaned house when I retired but for some reason I kept that manual , I guess that was wishful thinking on my part.
