Speedo/Dash Lights

I have a speedo light that's out. All of the rest of the lights in the dash are working, with the exception of the speedo. I was just curious on how and to what extent is the difficulty of replacing the bulb for the speedo gauge?

A second question that I had about that dash light was on the heat/AC control unit, my dashboard only lights up the fan speed (right side) of the heat/AC control until. I was just checking to see if the left side which controls temp and where the air comes out of is supposed to light up as well. Seems odd that only half would light up. If that light is as well, what's the process and difficulty of replacing that. Hopefully not looking to pull the entire dash to replace one or two bulbs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi NoVA! I have 68 98 and the dashes are actually very similar in design. Unfortunately to remove the speedo
and get at the bulbs/connectors I needed to remove the clock to access the nuts on one side of the speedo bracket and then remove the
fuel gauge/idiot lights to access the other nut for the speedo bracket. Next hurdle maybe the speedo cable - can be a struggle and I
had a hard time reattaching it when reinstalling speedo. I think you can change the bulbs without removing the connector
but if you need to be super careful pulling it off - if you brake the connector pins you'll need to replace the board.
Its a pretty painful process overall - plan for a few hours on your back. Hope this helps

Also - looks like the 69 442/Cutlass has one bulb for the heater a/c unit - it should light up both parts. Pulling that thing out is also loads of fun I'm sure!!
Best,
