plug wires for olds 400 cu.in

I need to replace the plug wires on my '69 442...400 cu. in.
#8 plug wire with the straight boot is REALLY tight...the wire's bent at a 90 and i think i should put a 90 degree boot on it. Anybody else have this issue/concern, and has anyone got a wire set with the L boot on the plug end?
Thanks!

I got the spark plug wire set for my '68 4-4-2 from Fusick. Look at www.fusick.com for part number 1Q69 for your car. I've had mine since 2007 and they fit nicely and are still working fine.

I got mine from Fusick also. 6 years, no problems.

I picked up a set of boot-yur-own Accel wires with right angle boots from Autozone, 8mm. A few of the boots lay directly on the header flange but so far no problems. At first I regretted it but after seeing the clearance at the AC box and the AC bracket, I'm not sure how I would have gotten straight boots in there.

My '69 still has the Moroso Blue Max wires I put on it in the early nineties. They're universal fit and all straight boot, but I managed to bend the boot for #8 enough to clear the evaporator case.

I believe the plug boots are 45*, not 90*

Buy repro wires, expensive...but they will fit great! Original wire boots + terminals were not straight, 45 or 90 degrees. They were almost straight, with a small bend in them so you could adjust them a little, like around the AC box.
