Notes from the Underbelly.......

okay guys...is it too over the top.....just want some input...the paint is 10 years old...I know satin black is usually the standard for chassis detailing...I guess I'm just into the bling factor...I have Energy Suspension bushings......stainless brake lines...W-27 cover care of Year One...it's only a 10 bolt 342 gear ratio...but it's holding it's own so far...but the wheels are going to be much more up to the task then the 205....14" wheels I had on it before....they are now 235 T/A radials with 15" by 8" Wheel Vintiques SS1's....can you believe Summit ships all 4 of these things for $11.95 ....and they are $20.00 less a piece....keep up the good work Summit!!

Since your car is not all stock, detail it with what you want to do it with and, $$$ permitting, get yourself an aluminized exhaust system. The paint detail and a new exhaust makes the undercarriage of a car look a lot better because you no longer have a the surface rust and it will not come back! I also did notice that the Wheel Vintiques wheels are cheaper in Summit and the shipping is less!

POR 15 makes great paint products. I believe they have an undercoating.

I also immediately noticed the rusty exhaust pipes. I think the shiny axle made it much more evident. Personally I think it does not look right somehow but like orange said, it's you car and you should do it the way YOU like it.

As far as the exhaust goes you should get stainless steel if you can afford it. I believe that is superior to the aluminized pipe.

With those big shiny meats on the corners, you're going to need to send it off to the plater's and get the whole bottom end to shine!

More seriously...
Black is said by some to be easier to keep clean, but with your bright differential, a lighter color all around might look good--maybe like the argent of the SSII wheels?
