Thanks Bittersweet but the only problem with that is my dad is a painter and what we need is just the width of the top and bottom stripe and he is going to paint them anyone know where i can find that info?

 

You could try http://oldsparts.com/Page58.htm. I've never used the stripe layout deal they sell nor have I ever ordered from them just know they sell the layout prints. Good luck with your paint job.

 

The '71 assembly manual has a stripe diagram. They dont give you the widths of the large painted hood areas and the wide side stripe but do have the spacing and small stripe width.

There is also a hood diagram but it just tells you the spacing is .15 and the stripe is .25.

From an original car. the big stripe is 2.225 inches

Small strip is .14 inches

They are .25 inches apart


around wheel big stripe goes to .72 inches
