need help
So I went to the muffler shop today I told the guy that I have a 70 cutlass and I need a full exhaust system on my ride I would like 2.5inch pipes front to back but he said for the tail pipes he said he would have to use two piece piping for the tail pipes or go to the next size down I don't know what to do need so help

There are many commercially-available 2.5" exhaust systems available for A-body cars that include full 2.5" mandrel-bent tailpipes. Just buy one of those and have it installed. There's no need to cut the tailpipes or downsize them. The shop is just being lazy (and probably doesn't have a proper mandrel bender anyway).

I got my exhaust done at the muffler shop I went with 2 1/2 front to back with 3inch tips out the bumper I'am happy with the work it came out clean. Thanks for all your help
