My Father in law was an Olds maniac - Pics inside

Made the trip to PA and left the car there for now. It is in the garage sitting where it has for the past 30+ years. Driver's side tires were cracked and no air in them, so I brought them back to NC with me. Pass side was fine. They have air in them now (seeing if they leak) and I will hopefully take them up to roll the car out from the garage.

Check out the pics. He truly loved Olds, from the start!

Good point! I've tried to replace with pics that don't require standing on your head. Pic thumbnails were showing normal on upload, but when I clicked attachments in post, they were upside down.

Yes, new parts. Stripe sets he probably found at Carlisle.

Thanks! It wasn't as easy as it looks. I'm hoping for the best here, but I know it needs all new belts, hoses, tires, water pump, and a rebuilt transmission. Last ran a few years ago. Out of the garage and into the garage. Long trip.

Thanks! Has the dual gate, hood lock, disc front/drum rear, 8 track tape, and probably some other options I'm overlooking. No A/C. When I was there, I overlooked checking for a very uncommon item, the aluminum axle carrier. I am wondering about that...but it will have to wait a few weeks or a few months. Depends how much I can't get it out of my head, the trip back to PA may be sooner rather than later.

Discussed a little in this thread: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...tml#post847787

Trying to figure it all out. Worst case, this W30 has a correct engine for a W30 and an incorrect transmission from a H/O. Best of both worlds.

But it could just be the console switch out. For whatever reason. My mother in law said he was sorry he got rid of that H/O. But apparently he hung onto some of it..
