Mufflers for Factory 2 1/4" Exhaust

Dynomax used to make a 17561 muffler, that was a 20" x 9.75" x 4.5" body which was as close to a perfect muffler for stock systems. Unfortunately they discontinued this 2 1/4" offset/offset muffler. Does anyone have an alternate brand? I don't like flowmasters, so they wont be a candidate....

Thanks in advance...

What about Walker's 17843. It's pretty close to the dimensions you listed.

Or maybe this would work: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/imo-cm20/overview/

Here's a .pdf of all the IMCO dimensions so you can match one up to your needs

That 17561 part number shows up as a Dynomax Ultra flow with a 20" case but it has a center inlet, not offset. Maybe they reused the old part number for a new part, i dunno. Otherwise, that part seems to still be good but not with the offset inlet. Part number 17226 is an Ultraflow with offset both in and out but with a case length of 14".

Nothing a short section of straight pipe won't fix.

The Summit web pages lists both inlet and outlet as offset, despite what the photo shows.

Gotta read the fine print (considering that the photo is of a THRUSH muffler):

"Image is a representation of this item.
Actual item may vary."

This site appears to have the correct photo:

The 17561 is the correct p/n for offset / offset 2-1/4. It's in the Dynomax catalog. I think what I'm going to wind up doing is using a 2.5" Dynomax welded stainless p/n 17560, and adapt the 2-1/2 to 2-1/4. The 17560 has a 20" body/shell and is 25" overall. If I use a 2-1/2" ID on the muffle to a 2-1/4 OD adapter It wont be too noticeable if it's made short enough.
