How many 1966 L-69 Tri-Carbs were sold?

I know the L69 package in 1966 was an over the counter package that was sold by dealers. I've seen various numbers of actual production which makes this a rare package. Seems to be a lot of Tri-Carb cars out there. Does anyone know how many were sold?

2129 factory L69s, but there are no numbers on the over the counter units sold. It was very popular, so "quite a few" is about as accurate as you're going to get.
Yes, they're "all over the place" with many cars being claimed to have come with it from the factory that *didn't*.
I have a '66 that came with the rare 4-bbl...............

Wasn't there a member on our site a few years ago that wanted to reproduce the three deuces intake manifold through an aftermarket foundry? I wonder what ever came of that...

I would love to have a tri-carb setup for my 48, but the price is to steep for me. Would like to see an after market setup as I am building a old style hotrod.

A member ? Or are you referring to the Parts Place intake?

The Parts Place told me a couple days ago that they are in litigation with the foundry. Iirc, the castings weren't good enough and so production pieces didn't come about. 397615 was the conversion package but pretty expensive in 1960s dollars: $325.50 in Nov. 69.

Perhaps it was the Parts Place I was thinking about. I know there was a post about a year or two ago that there were going to be aftermarket three deuce intake manifolds cast.
