Looking for input on what other people with aftermarket fiberglass OAI hoods are using for springs. I did research this before and i believe even started a post to figure out what i needed. I ended up ordering part number BP12832Z from The Parts Place - the springs are described as " HOOD HINGE SPRING FOR LARGER FIBERGLASS HOODS". Well, I got my FiberConcepts hood installed and these springs do not hold it up. The manufacturer of the hood told me DO NOT use your old stock springs, they WILL cause the hood to bend in the middle. I've read older posts where members said they had to go back to their old stock springs to make the hood stay up.

I don't want to just start ordering lighter springs from all the various suppliers and trying them until i find a set that hold it up - that will get expensive. So i'm hoping to generate some more discussion & feedback on what others are experiencing and what is working.
