Cooling

I have a '66 442 with a 425 Olds motor and tripower. It has no shroud and I want to be sure that the engine never overheats. I was going to install a shroud - I ordered one from Supercars but it does not fit the fan because the fan is a 19inch on the 425 motor and the shroud is for the stock 400 motor. But I am thinking that I would be better off installing twin electric fans controlled by a thermostat and an overriding manual switch.

I would appreciate any thoughts you have.

Thanks

Pat

Fans

Pat personally I would use an engine driven fan with a good fan clutch. No matter what electrics you use they will not move as many cfm as the engine driven fan. Just my thoughts, Dave

Thanks Dave - I have decided to stay with a clutch fan. Also much less complicated!!!
