Convertible Top Motor

Is there anyone that can recommend someone to rebuild my convertible top motor or would it be better to replace it with a new one from Fusick?

Look in Hemmings and there are companies that rebuild the cylinders and motors. If it is just leaking, you can probably take it apart and replace the orings. Fusick is a great supplier but if you buy one it is probably going to be made in China. Personally I would rather have the original American made one rebuilt.

It is just leaking. Where can I get the O-rings?

You can get orings at any auto parts store. When I bought my 72 Cutlass years ago, the pump leaked like crazy. I took it apart and spent less than 2 bucks for orings and it has not leaked in 16 years. Just pay attention how it comes apart. It is really a pretty easy fix.

Hey Rob, that's what this forum is all about isn't it. Glad to share. I know I learn more than I share on here.

The only thing I have to do to get it back on the road is brakes. I have the disk brake setup for the front. Of course that turns into one of your deals. Might as well do the front end and on and on. Time is the thing I seem to have the least of. When I get it done, we need to meet up with Richard for a photo op with his car in the middle. I think that would be pretty cool. He is not far from me.
