On an Oshawa built 442, depending on what gears you wanted you would get a 3:42 Olds axle (my M20) or a 3:91 Olds axle (wife's M21) or a 3:23 auto w/air -Chev axle (wife's first 442). So usually a regular Cutlass would have a Chev axle unless it was a performance axle-which would be Olds...I put a 2:56 Olds posi in Muskrats '68 four door, but I don't remember what it came out of... I have a '68 442 w/air and it has a Chev axle (ratio ??)

To find your ratio rotate the tire once and count the drive shaft revs and then rotate the tire ten times and count the drive shaft revs to be more accurate... if you have a posi, the two wheels will turn the same direction when you turn the drive shaft or one of the wheels with both wheels off the floor of course (two on the floor ). Or with one wheel on the floor there should be a fair amount of resistance to overcome the clutch drag of the posi or with no posi there will be almost no resistance...
