Broadcast sheet question
Just discovering this thread now after owning a '70 Cutlass Supreme convertible for 35 years. (red exterior, white top, pearl interior, buckets, console, automatic, speed shifter gate).
My broadcast sheet includes these items that I don't know the meaning of:
Seq: 024 Mo: 03 Day: 10
Under Trim, SPCL: Z
Trim Comb: 977
Under PP: 2
Box 1: A39
The only other box with anything is 9, with U80, which I see is the rear speaker option (since removed).
Thanks for any help you can offer.
And thanks for this wonderful forum.

I have a couple of questions about the Broadcast Card. All 1970 442”sW30’s came standard with Strato Bucket Seats. I know there are potentially 5 areas on the Broadcast Card codes that point to the vehicle having Bucket Seats : Style, Trim Combo, W30 in Box #3, A51 in Box #4 or #5 and finally the word BUCKET stamped in red ink. With buckets being standard on 442’s/W30’s and a Bench Seat being optional on 442’s/W30’s you would think that more of an effort would be needed to the workers at Fisher to point out that a Bench Seat was called for on that particular vehicle ? Are there differences in the locations of the holes drilled in the floor pan between buckets and a bench seat ? Why not a red stamp BENCH for the optional equipment instead of the red stamp BUCKET for the standard equipment ?

Across the Oldsmobile line bench seats were way more common than bucket seats. Even within the A-body line most cars got a bench seat. Think of all the 4 door Cutlass and stripper F-85's. So at the Fisher plant most of the time they installed bench seats with only the occasional bucket seat car.
Also there are extra brackets welded onto the floor pan for bucket seat cars.
