I don't know if I should do this considering how lively my last post was but any thoughts or comments about the 66 on Ebay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-...item3f050a2588

I saw this car on Cars-On-Line and the asking price was $60,000.00, I believe it was over a year ago.

Maybe someone knows for sure -- but i heard that this car was sold a few months ago by a guy in North Carolina to a buyer in PA for an amount in the mid-$40's? The "track-Pak" restoration is impeccable and its a very nice car. If my info is correct, it appears that the current owner is just trying to "flip" it on ebay at a profit! The car had been advertised on various OLDS sites by the previous owner ( if this IS the same car). Anyone know for sure? Chime in -- Not a problem if i'm incorrect -- but just passing along a "grapevine rumor"

Car looks very nice, even if not built to be 100% as the factory did. And as for "flipping", either in this case, or as a practice, hey, capitalism is the American way, so if he can make money speculating on its value (got it for a good price, and thinks he can sell it for more) or maybe his financial position dictates a sale, or even if he got tired of it, I say more power to him or others like him, as long as they don't try to deceive anyone.

The price was not in the mid $40's,much higher but I will not divulge the price due to ethical reasons. The guy who is selling the car is indeed a dealer flipping the car. He said he has owned over 300 cars and this one is the best of the bunch. As far as numbers matching,no such thing unless you have documentation. How many cars of this era have documentation? less than 1% probably. The car was built as a car of that era would have been built to race. That's why the headers/Borg Warner trans & 12 bolt Chevy rear. If the builder of the car knew before hand his personal situation would change and the car would be sold,he would have done it correctly. I have driven this car and it hauls @$$ and is very nicely done.
