65 442 400 cui engine valve seals

Any suggestions on which type of valve seals I should get to replace the original worn out valve seals? Any other information would be helpful as well. Thx!

Or you can just go and get them at your local parts store. Price should be a wash without frt.

Olds used umbrella type valve stem seals. Over time they get hard and break. You will see pieces laying near or in the oil return holes in the head... they are not a positive type seal, they just shield the top of the guide, like an umbrella. I have been using a positive type seal lately on a few of my Oldsmobiles and no issues so far. There is a seal available that requires no machining of the valve guide boss on the head but as of now I do not know a source. I used to get mine off eBay. It seams someone found this seal although designed for another brand engine will fit the Olds head.
