Valve stem seals

I've seen the forums on this and to use Felpro stem seals. However, I'm getting list in the searches for the right part number. Little help here?

I've already got the heads cleaned, new valves, guides reamed and knurled, and the seats resurfaced. only held up on the valve stem seals.

thanks
Robert

Just ask for the Olds stock valve seals, which will be the umbrella type, work fine on stock engine.

What is the discoloration on the second valve seat from the bottom of the picture?

My book agrees with Charlie on the '54 part number, but has another number for '56.

I have a set of 16 and a set of 8 umbrella type seals. These are in the stock GM parts envelope. I am only going to use the eight this weekend.
Part # 8-565809. 1952-55. Let me know if you need some. My cost only.

I'm doing all 16. I'd hate to deplete your supply. Are these still available thru Napa or other auto suppliers?

I'm glad to finally have a straight answer on the part number. Lol. Thanks

You have your answer.... theold52 posted your part number if you read it closely from group "8". Call Fusick he'll sell them to you.
