1968 442 convertible cowl decode

Got a 68 442 & cant seem to find any 68 decode tables, so i'll let you guys with the books try to help me out. Appreciate any info, thanks.

02 = Feb; D= 4th week == build date

68-33667 = 1968 Cutlass convertible.
Because it's a Lansing car the VIN could be 34467.... and a true 442.

It's not spelled out in 68 as it was in later years. You have to go by the TR (interior trim) code.

In your case TR 947 decodes to Parchment vinyl interior with Strato-Bucket seats. It was available and is the same code for both Cutlass 3600 series and 442 4400 series.

Paint N is Burgundy and 1 indicates a white convertible top.

68-33667: 68= 1968 model year, 3= Oldsmobile Division, 36= Cutlass V8, 67= convertible. LAN= Lansing Olds assembly and the number is the Fisher Body sequential job number. As Chris has pointed out, many if not all Lansing-built 68 442 carried a Cutlass body number on the data plate and 4400 in the dashboard VIN plate.
